The International Teaching Week: Faculty of Theology is going to welcome nearly two dozen of world-famous specialists

Wednesday 26 October 2022, 20:07 – Text: Lenka Peřinová, Marie Sieberová

Sts Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Theology is holding the second year of The International Teaching Week event on 7th – 11th November 2022. The program supports the educational areas of the faculty: theology, ethics and communication, pedagogy and social work. The lectures will take place in three separate thematic sections, held in the lecture hall (aula) and in classrooms number U11 and U8 in the faculty building in Univerzitní Street, No.22.

“Exceptionality of this event stems not only from the varied offer of expert topics but also from the fact that it connects Czech and international students, and new professional relationships are formed even between Czech and foreign lecturers,” said vice-dean for international relations Dominik Opatrný.

There are 21 internationally-recognized specialists coming to Olomouc from the USA, Malta, North Macedonia and other countries. Our invitation has been accepted, for example, by social pedagogue Mette Christiansen from The State University of New York or the theologist and former Dean of the Faculty of Theology at the University of Malta.  The lectures are intended not only for students of Palacký University across the faculties but also for anybody interested from the general public.

„I am very pleased that we can offer such a varied program to our visitors and students. We already have professors contacting us who would like to come and take part in next year’s event,” added Mr. Opatrný.
