LECTURE IN AN AIR-RAID SHELTER

Sunday 4 June 2023, 15:07 – Text: Lenka Peřinová, Marie Sieberová

Asst. Prof. Dominik Opatrný, Vice Dean for International Affairs, gave a lecture entitled "Steward, Shepherd, or Gardener? Metaphors of the Relationship between Man and Nature in the Bible" in an unusual place – during an ongoing alert in the air-raid shelter of the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv.

He visited the Ukrainian Catholic University together with the secretary of CMTF UP Mgr. Ivan Drabek in March 2023 to negotiate our continued cooperation in the fields of theology and social work between Sts Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Theology at Palacký University and the Ukrainian Catholic University Lviv and to express our solidarity with Ukraine.

The guests from Olomouc were received by the Deputy Vice-Rector for Academic and International Affairs, Dr. Dmytro Sherengovsky, the Dean of the Faculty of Theology Dr. Yuriy Shchurko and the Head of the Volunteer Center Ostap Makhynskyy.

The trip was made possible thanks to the Erasmus+ project.
