The 3rd International Teaching Week: 4 days of meetings, 3 dozen lectures by international guests

The 3rd International Teaching Week has ended at the Faculty of Theology: 4 days full of lectures and workshops where Czech and foreign academics and students met. Thanks to this international event, a number of interesting foreign guests came to Olomouc to give lectures: e.g. Nicholaus Segeja, a member of the International Theological Commission, Edward R. Canda, a professor of social work from the University of Kansas, Dr. Can Zeyrek, a Turkish-German expert on civil wars, and Jia Lin, a Tibetan dance instructor. Students were invited to listen to over three dozen lectures and meet with peers from four Central European countries.

"What I appreciated most about the third International Teaching Week was how many students and academics were actively involved, whether it was moderating, taking care of guests, taking photos, or perhaps making coffee," says Vice Dean for International Affairs Associate Prof. Dominik Opatrný, who organized the event from 30 October to 2 November 2023 together with the International Relations Office of CMTF UP.
