The International Teaching Week Links Students, the Public and International Specialists

Sts Cyril and Methodius Faculty of Theology of Palacký University is organising its first International Teaching Week from 18–22 October 2021. The programme links the educational areas of the faculty: theology, ethics, pedagogy and social work. There will be a number of internationally recognized specialists amongst the lecturers, with the invitation having been accepted by, for example, Andrea Vicini from Boston College or Günter Virt from Vienna.

Bioethicists Conference in Central Europe.

The conference of the Bioethicists society in Central Europe will follow up on the International Teaching Week. “We were able to get some truly interesting guests for this conference. Prof. Vicini will be lecturing about the relationship between morality and neuroscience, while Prof. Virt will be sharing his experience about how the European Union will develop its views concerning ethical questions. Further themes worthy of mention include the political situation in Turkey (Can Zeyrek) or ethics in film (Marek Lis). Peter McCormic, a long-time co-worker with the theological faculty, will also be there and will deal in his lecture with the question of how to ethnically deal with extremely poor people,” Opatrný added.
